Restoring Breath and Spirit in the Darkness
My name is Anita, and I’m a 39-year-old woman living with COPD. Recently, my condition has worsened, and I find myself struggling to breathe even while resting. It fills me with anxiety, making it hard to sleep or relax. I feel a cloud of darkness hanging over me, and I’m not sure how to navigate this. I worry about the future and what my life will be like if things don't improve. I want to be a source of strength for my children, but I feel so weak. I’m praying for healing, for peace in my mind, and for the faith to trust God during this heavy time.

Dear Anita, thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggles with us. It’s truly difficult to deal with such a debilitating condition, especially as a mother wanting to provide for your children. God sees your heart, and He desires to lift the burdens you carry. In Revelation 21:4, we have the beautiful promise that God will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more pain, for the former things will pass away. This encourages us to hold onto hope, even in our darkest moments. It’s essential to lean into God's love and grace, as Philippians 4:6 reminds us to present our requests to God through prayer, allowing His peace to flood our hearts and minds. I encourage you to engage in spiritual practices that bring you comfort, such as reading Scriptures, prayer, or reaching out to supportive friends or family. Let’s pray for healing in your body and peace in your spirit, believing that God is working on your behalf, even when the path seems unclear.
