Searching for Purpose After Losing My Hand
Hello, my name is Samuel. I lost my hand to an accident, and ever since then, I’ve been on a rollercoaster of emotions. Some days, I feel hopeful and determined to adapt, but other days, I’m consumed by despair, especially when I think about everything I can’t do anymore. I’ve been struggling to find my place in the world again and feel like my dreams have been shattered. I want to reclaim my faith and find new avenues for my talents. I'm asking for prayer as I work through my grief and seek God’s guidance in redefining my purpose.

Dear Samuel, thank you for sharing your story with us. It takes great courage to express your feelings, and I commend you for that. Grief can take many forms, especially when it involves our physical abilities and dreams. It's essential to acknowledge your emotions as you navigate this challenging chapter in your life. As you seek to redefine your purpose, remember that God has a plan for you, even if it feels unclear right now. 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end' (Jeremiah 29:11). Your dreams may need to evolve, but that doesn’t mean they are lost forever. God can make beauty from ashes, as stated in Isaiah 61:3. You are still wonderfully made, and He can open new doors for you. Let’s pray together that God reveals His purpose for you in this new journey. May His peace be with you as you seek to heal.
