Seeking Authentic Connection Amid Distraction
Hi, my name is Daniel, and I’m a 22-year-old college student. I’ve been feeling increasingly frustrated with my spiritual life. I often find myself distracted during worship, my mind wandering to assignments and tests instead of focusing on God. I want to experience the fullness of His love and presence, but it's hard to concentrate with so much going on around me. I’m reaching out for prayer, hoping to find clarity and the ability to connect authentically with God during worship, despite my busy life.

Grief and Healing Ministry
Dear Daniel, thank you for your honesty; it’s a challenge many young people face today, especially with the pressures of college life. The world often tries to pull our attention in many directions, yet God desires our undivided heart. ‘Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you’ (James 4:8). Finding time for meaningful worship amidst your busy schedule is essential. You might consider setting aside specific moments each day for quiet reflection and prayer. It could be as simple as taking a walk and conversing with God or journaling your thoughts and prayers. As you intentionally seek Him, He promises that you will find Him. 'But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength' (Isaiah 40:31). I will pray that you find the focus you seek and that your worship becomes a joyful encounter with our Almighty God.
