Seeking Clarity After Unexpected Loss
Recently, we experienced a devastating miscarriage that has left my husband and me shattered. We were so excited to welcome our first child, and now we are left with empty arms and unanswered questions. I feel a mix of anger and sadness, and I struggle to see how God fits into this painful scenario. We don’t understand why this happened to us, and it has strained our relationship. We need prayer for healing, both individually and as a couple, to move forward with grace.

Dear Michael, I am truly sorry to hear about the loss you and your wife are experiencing. Miscarriage can bring a whirlwind of emotions, and it's common to grapple with feelings of anger and confusion. In Romans 8:28, we are comforted with the knowledge that 'all things work together for good to them that love God.' While it may be hard to see how this tragedy could lead to anything good, I encourage you to lean into your faith and trust in God's plan. This is a time to communicate openly with your spouse, as the bond of marriage is strengthened in trials (Genesis 2:24). Remember to be gentle with yourselves as you navigate through grief; allow space for tears and healing. It’s also essential to support each other in this journey, forgiving each other for any missteps as you cope with your pain (Colossians 3:13). I will be praying for both of you, that God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds as you heal together.
