Seeking Comfort and Strength After Trauma
I'm Robert, a 50-year-old father grappling with fear and anxiety following a serious medical emergency. This experience has left me feeling vulnerable and questioning my health. The trauma is overwhelming, and I find myself avoiding situations that remind me of that day. I’m reaching out for prayers because I want to regain my confidence and trust in God. I believe in His healing power, but I need support to overcome this fear and anxiety. Please pray for God to soothe my heart and help me find strength in His promises.
Pastor's Response
Pastor Michael Thompson
Senior Pastor, Bethel Church
Dear Robert, thank you for sharing your experience. It’s difficult to walk through fear and anxiety, especially after a traumatic event. But remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He wants you to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). I encourage you to bring your fears to Him daily, allowing His love to heal your heart. I will pray for your journey towards recovery and peace. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, we lift Robert to you. Grant him the strength and courage to face each day. Wrap him in your comforting presence. Amen.
