Seeking Comfort for Accumulated Heartache
I have been a hospice nurse for over a decade, and the losses I've witnessed have accumulated like weight on my shoulders. I often feel alone in my grief, unsure how to process what I see day in and day out. Each family’s story is personal to me, and I deeply empathize with their pain. However, this empathy also leads to a heaviness that I carry with me. I seek prayer for comfort and the ability to release this grief. I want to continue being a source of hope for my patients and their families without the burden of my own sadness overshadowing my ability to serve. Please pray that I may find peace and clarity in God’s love.

Dear Linda, your dedication as a hospice nurse shows your compassionate heart, and it’s entirely understandable to feel the weight of grief from those you serve. God understands your pain more than anyone else could. He promises in Psalm 23:4 that "yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me." Trust that He walks with you through this journey. It's also important to remember that you can cast your cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7), allowing Him to lift the burden you carry. Know that it’s okay to grieve as you honor the memories of those you have cared for. Your service is a beautiful reflection of God’s love. Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father, please comfort Linda as she bears the weight of accumulated grief. Provide her with peace and relief as she continues to serve with love. Amen.
