Seeking Comfort from God in Overwhelm
Hi, my name is Aisha, and I’m a 22-year-old college student. I’ve been experiencing severe anxiety stemming from my heightened sensitivity to sensory inputs—things like bright lights, loud music, and crowded spaces trigger intense fear in me. I often find myself unable to attend classes or social events because the thought of being overwhelmed by sensory overload is paralyzing. I feel disconnected from my peers and am missing out on meaningful experiences. I would appreciate prayers for comfort and clarity, asking God to help me manage my anxiety and guide me toward support that can help me thrive in my environment.

Dear Aisha, thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggles. It’s brave of you to acknowledge your feelings, and I want you to know that God is aware of your situation. In Lamentations 3:23, we are reminded that 'great is thy faithfulness'—His mercies are new every morning, and He is there to support you in your anxieties. I encourage you to seek His presence during overwhelming times; His peace can guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Remember, you are not alone, and it's okay to seek help. The Lord is your strength and refuge, and He will guide you through this journey. Let's pray together: Father, I lift Aisha to you, asking for your peace and guidance in her college journey. Amen.
