Seeking Comfort in Our Distant Marriage
Dear God, I approach You with a heavy heart. My marriage has become a source of pain rather than joy. The emotional connection that once brought us together has faded, and I often feel like we’re drifting apart. I desire to feel loved and cherished again, but I don’t know how to communicate this to my wife without causing more distance. Please guide me in this journey. Help us to find common ground, to engage in meaningful conversations that reignite our love. I know that with You, all things are possible. Grant us the strength to mend what has been broken and to seek a path toward restoration. Thank You for listening to my prayer. Amen.

Dear Marcus, thank you for sharing your struggles. It takes courage to voice these feelings, and I want you to know that God is with you in this difficult season. Remember that marriage is a covenant designed to reflect Christ’s love for the church, as highlighted in Ephesians 5:25. This means that loving each other is an active choice, not just a feeling. I encourage you to approach your wife with love and tenderness, as 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 speaks about love being patient and kind. You may also want to create opportunities to reminisce about beautiful moments you’ve shared together; this can often help rebuild emotional bridges. As you navigate this path, hold onto the promise of Philippians 4:6-7, which says that the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds. I will keep you both in my prayers, asking God to guide your hearts back to each other. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, we ask for healing in Marcus's marriage. Help them both to find understanding and renew their commitment to each other. In Jesus' name, Amen.
