Seeking Consistency in My Daily Devotions
Dear God, I am struggling to maintain consistency in my daily Bible reading and devotion time. I feel ashamed when I realize how often I forget or ignore this important part of my spiritual life. I know that Your Word is essential for my growth and understanding, yet I let distractions overshadow my intentions. I want to prioritize my relationship with You, but sometimes the busyness of life takes over, and I find myself feeling guilty. Please help me develop a routine that honors You and keeps me connected to Your teachings. Give me the focus and discipline needed to turn to Your Word daily. I truly desire to grow in faith and deepen my spiritual journey with You.

Dear Sarah, thank you for sharing your heartfelt prayer request. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed by the demands of life, but I want you to know that God sees your desire to grow in faith. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” This means that God is actively working in you, even when you feel inconsistent. I encourage you to create a specific time and space for your Bible reading, perhaps in the morning or as part of your evening routine. Matthew 17:20 reminds us that faith, even as small as a mustard seed, can move mountains. Don’t underestimate the value of small, consistent efforts in your spiritual life. Lastly, remember to give yourself grace and not to dwell on the guilt. God loves you no matter where you are in your journey. Let’s pray: Lord, I ask that You help Sarah find consistency in her devotion time. May she feel Your encouragement and grace as she seeks to draw closer to You. Amen.
