Seeking Conversation Opportunities for My Neighbor
My neighbor, Lucy, is a single mom who’s been through a lot in life. She often talks to me about her struggles with raising her children alone and the burdens she carries. I can see the pain she’s been through, and I feel called to tell her about the hope that I have in Christ. However, I am uncertain how to start these conversations without overstepping. I ask for prayers that God would provide me with opportunities to share my faith with Lucy and that she would be open to receiving it. I want her to know that there is a loving Savior who cares for her and can give her strength in her trials.

Dear Amelia, your heart for Lucy is beautiful. It’s so important to be sensitive to others’ struggles while also sharing the hope we have in Christ. Remember, God can provide the right moments for you to speak about your faith. As it says in Romans 6:23, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Also, keep in mind the wisdom in James 1:5, where we are encouraged to ask God for wisdom in our conversations. Your friendship and support can be a powerful witness in her life. Continue to pray for her and for those opportunities to share the good news. Let’s pray: "Heavenly Father, I ask that You open the door for Amelia to share Your love with Lucy. Amen."
