Seeking Courage for a Mission Trip to Indigenous People
I plan to travel to an isolated region to share the gospel with an indigenous tribe that has resisted outside influence for centuries. As a young woman in my 20s, I feel both excited and terrified. I am asking for prayers to have courage and clarity as I approach this mission. It’s daunting to think about how to connect with people from a completely different culture who may be skeptical of outsiders. I pray for God to prepare their hearts and mine for this outreach, that barriers would be broken, and the message of hope would shine through. Please lift me up as I take this significant step in faith.

Dear Sofia, your eagerness to spread the Gospel is commendable, and I admire your bravery. God calls us to be courageous in our endeavors, as seen in Joshua 1:9, 'Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed.' It’s perfectly natural to feel apprehensive, but remember that God has a plan for you, just as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11. You are stepping into a role that He has prepared for you. As you engage with this indigenous tribe, be assured of God’s presence. Acts 4:12 reminds us that 'neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.' May your mission be fruitful and full of God’s grace. Let’s pray together now: Lord, grant Sofia courage and wisdom. May her heart be filled with Your love as she shares Your truth. Amen.
