Seeking Courage to Invite My Neighbor to Church
I’ve just settled into my new community, and I am grateful for the friendly faces around me, especially my new neighbor who seems like a wonderful person. I feel a strong desire to invite them to church, but I’m fearful of rejection. I know that church can be a new and daunting experience for some. I pray for courage and clarity in my invitation. I want them to know they are welcome and loved, and that attending church could be a beautiful step toward finding faith in Christ. Please pray that I can overcome my fears and that the invitation will resonate with them.

Dear Jessica, I commend you for wanting to invite your neighbor to church! Your heart reflects the love of Christ, and I understand how overwhelming it can feel to extend such an invitation. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Your genuine invitation can be a seed planted in their heart, paving the way for them to explore faith. In Ephesians 2:8, we are reminded that we are saved by grace through faith, and sharing this message can lead others to that grace. Approach your neighbor with a warm and open heart, and trust that God will go before you. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I lift up Jessica as she reaches out to her neighbor. Grant her the courage she needs and prepare her neighbor's heart to respond positively. In Jesus' name, Amen.
