Seeking Financial Wisdom for Ministry Workers
Hi, I am Michael, and I serve as a youth pastor in my community. While my heart is in my work, my family is really struggling financially. My salary barely covers our monthly expenses, and I often pray for guidance on how to better manage our finances. My wife is feeling stressed, and I can see it affecting our family dynamics. I ask for prayers for wisdom and God’s provision. I believe that serving in ministry is a calling, but I also need to be a good provider for my family. Thank you for lifting us up in prayer.

Dear Michael, I appreciate your openness in sharing your struggles. It’s clear that your heart is in the right place, both in ministry and for your family. Remember that godly wisdom is a treasure we should seek, just as stated in James 1:5: 'If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.' I encourage you to spend time in prayer for direction and to communicate openly with your wife about your situation. It can be helpful to create a budget together that prioritizes essential needs and includes opportunities to save. Trust in God's plan for you, as He promises in Matthew 25:21 that 'Well done, thou good and faithful servant... enter thou into the joy of thy lord.' Let us pray: Heavenly Father, I ask for Your guidance in Michael’s financial situation. Grant him wisdom and provide for his needs, comforting his family in this time. Amen.
