Seeking Freedom for My Family from Religious Control
My name is Maria, and I am a mother of three. For years, my family has been deeply entrenched in a religious group that has controlled every aspect of our lives. I have always felt uneasy about the rigidity of their beliefs, which seem to overshadow the love and grace of Christ. My husband and I have been discussing leaving this group, but we are terrified of the consequences—especially for our children, who have grown up under these teachings.
