Seeking Freedom from the Burden of Perfection
I’m a 40-year-old accountant, and I’ve spent decades chasing perfection in my work. This expectation has created so much anxiety that I dread opening my emails or facing new tasks. I often miss out on promotions because I’m too paralyzed by the fear of making mistakes to assert myself. I know that God has a plan for me, and I want to fulfill that, but perfectionism grips my heart and mind. I’d appreciate prayers for liberation from this fear so that I can step into the opportunities God has for me, both personally and professionally.

Grief and Healing Ministry
Dear Mark, your honesty about the challenges you face is commendable. Perfectionism can be a heavy yoke to bear, and I want to remind you of Jesus’ words in Matthew 11:28-30: 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' God offers you the opportunity to lay down those burdens and to step into His grace. Remember also that we are called to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our understanding (Proverbs 3:5). He knows the desires of your heart and the plans He has for you (Jeremiah 29:11). Embrace the freedom that comes from knowing that you are loved and accepted just as you are. Together, let us pray: Lord, grant Mark freedom from perfectionism and the courage to embrace the paths You have laid before him. Amen.
