Seeking God's Help in My Spouse's Addiction Battle
I am a 45-year-old father who feels helpless as my wife battles addiction. Our home has become a stressful environment, and I worry daily about the emotional scars this is leaving on our children. I pray for my wife to find the courage to seek help and for our family to be restored. I feel torn between loving her and protecting our children, and I desperately need prayer for wisdom and strength during this challenging time. I want to create a safe haven for my kids where they can thrive, not just survive. Please pray for healing for my wife and peace for our family.

Dear Thomas, your heart for your family is truly moving, and I commend you for seeking prayer during this trying time. Addiction can create a whirlwind of emotions that affect everyone in the home, especially children. It’s vital to remember that God hears your cries. In Ruth 1:16, Ruth made a commitment to stay with Naomi, and your commitment to supporting your wife is commendable. Love is a powerful force for change. As you lean on God during this time, remember that He promises in Romans 8:28 that 'all things work together for good to them that love God.' Seek out resources and support for yourself and your family while continuing to pray earnestly for your wife. Let’s pray: Lord, we come before You, asking for healing for Thomas’s wife and peace for their family. Guide them through this storm and help them rebuild their lives together. Amen.
