Seeking God’s Light in My Darkest Hours
I’ve been living with agoraphobia for almost six months now, and it has caused me to miss everything I love. I used to be so active, but now I can’t even walk to the end of my driveway without feeling panic wash over me. I feel like I’m losing my connection with God and others. No matter how hard I try, I always end up retreating to my safe space. I’m tired of feeling trapped, and I yearn for the light of God to shine through my darkness. I ask for prayer to find the courage to step out and trust that God is guiding me. I long to feel His presence in my life again.

Dear Maya, your words resonate deeply with the struggle many face in moments of fear and isolation. It’s important to remember that you are not alone in this journey. In Lamentations 3:23, we are reminded that His mercies are new every morning—this is a call to hope. You can hold onto that promise even in your darkest hours. God is waiting with open arms to guide you, as He does not want you to live in fear. As you seek to step outside, meditate on 1 Peter 5:7, which tells us to cast our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. It’s okay to take small steps; each one is a victory. Let us pray together: Lord, pour out your peace upon Maya, and grant her the strength to step out in faith, knowing you are right beside her. Amen.
