Seeking Guidance After Financial Deceit
Hello, I’m Andre. I’m writing because I recently fell victim to a financial scam that wiped out my retirement savings. I feel devastated and betrayed by those I thought I could trust. It’s hard to navigate this situation, and I am struggling to see a way forward. I feel a mix of anger and hopelessness, and these emotions have made me question my faith. I often ask myself why God allowed this to happen. I need prayer for clarity, guidance, and the strength to forgive those who deceived me, even though that feels impossible right now.

Dear Andre, I appreciate you opening up about your struggle. It’s understandable to feel a whirlwind of emotions after such a betrayal. God is not distant; He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalms 34:18). Remember that anger is a natural response, but it’s important to process those feelings through prayer and seek healing. In Ecclesiastes 9:11, we see that the race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; sometimes, we must endure and trust God's timing. As you seek to forgive, I encourage you to lean on His strength, which can help you to move from despair to hope. You are not defined by this loss; you are a child of God, and His plans for you are always good. May the Lord grant you peace, guidance, and a forgiving heart, as you journey through this healing process.
