Seeking Guidance in Adoption Journey
Heavenly Father, I feel a mixture of excitement and anxiety as my husband and I consider adoption. After years of trying for biological children, we believe that adopting a child is where You are leading us. However, the unknowns make me feel unsettled. I worry about the challenges we may face and whether we can provide a loving home. Help us, Lord, to trust You fully in this journey. Give us wisdom as we navigate the adoption process and strength to face any hurdles. I pray for the child who will join our family, that You prepare their heart and ours for this transition. Help me to lay aside fears and embrace the beautiful future that awaits us. In Your name, I pray. Amen.

Dear Daniel, thank you for sharing your aspirations with us! Adoption is a beautiful act of love that reflects God’s heart for us. In Malachi 2:16, it states, 'For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.' Your commitment to build a family through adoption shows profound love and dedication. Remember that this journey may come with challenges, but as Philippians 4:13 reminds us, 'I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.' Lean on your faith to guide you through the uncertainties. Trust in His plan, as Jeremiah 29:11 reassures us, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' I encourage you to lean into community support during this process as well. Let us pray: Dear Lord, guide Daniel and his wife in their adoption journey.
