Seeking Guidance to Connect with My New Neighbor
As a retiree and a recent widow, I find myself feeling lonely in my new home. My neighbor just moved in, and I see an opportunity to create a friendship that could also lead to sharing my faith. I pray for guidance and the right words to express my kindness and love for Christ. It’s been a while since I’ve actively shared my faith, and I worry about how to start. I hope that through our conversations, I can introduce them to the peace and joy that comes from knowing Jesus. Please pray for divine opportunities and that I would be able to show Christ's love through my actions and words.

Dear Margaret, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It's understandable to feel apprehensive about building new relationships, especially after experiencing loss. Your desire to connect with your neighbor and share your faith is a beautiful testimony to God's work in your life. Remember, as it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. He will direct your paths. Be open to small gestures of kindness; sometimes, a warm smile or a helping hand can speak volumes. In 1 Timothy 2:4, we are reminded that God desires all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Keep praying and looking for those opportunities to connect. I encourage you to share your story of faith and the hope you have in Christ as you build this new friendship. Let’s pray: Lord, I ask for guidance for Margaret as she reaches out to her neighbor. May You open doors for them to connect and may Your love shine through her. In Jesus' name, Amen.
