Seeking Guidance to Share My Faith with Family
As a young adult, I'm navigating conversations with my Jewish family about my faith in Christ. My parents raised me in a Jewish home, and while they are loving, they don't understand my belief in Yeshua as the Messiah. I often find myself at a crossroads, wanting to honor their traditions while also sharing the truth of Jesus. It’s difficult to express my faith without it seeming like I'm rejecting our heritage. I feel lost on how to proceed and fear that I might create a rift between us. I am asking for prayers for wisdom, clarity, and a loving spirit as I seek to honor both my faith and my family's beliefs.

Grief and Healing Ministry
Dear Aaron, it’s wonderful to hear your heart for your family and your desire to share your faith respectfully. Balancing your heritage with your new beliefs can be challenging, but remember that God is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). You are not alone in this journey; God is with you and can provide the guidance you seek. As you consider how to share, start by focusing on common ground, such as the shared beliefs in the Old Testament and the prophecies concerning the Messiah. The key is to approach these conversations with grace and truth, as emphasized in John 1:14, where we see that Jesus was full of grace and truth. Also, keep in mind Romans 3:23, which reminds us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This can open the door to discussions about grace and redemption. I will pray for you to have wisdom in your words and an open heart from your family as you navigate these conversations.
