Seeking Peace from Past Choices
I am a 27-year-old woman, and for the past five years, I have been struggling with the grief and guilt surrounding my decision to have an abortion during a difficult time in my life. I thought it was the best choice then, but now I find myself buried under layers of regret and self-condemnation. I fear that I am not deserving of God’s forgiveness and that I will never find peace. I want to heal from this pain and move forward in my faith, but I feel lost and alone. Please pray for strength and comfort.

Pastor Thomas Reed
Hospital Chaplain
Dear Sophie, I want you to know that it takes immense courage to share your feelings, and I commend you for seeking help. The grief and guilt you feel are heavy, but I want to remind you of God’s mercy. In Isaiah 43:2, we are reassured, 'When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee.' You are not alone in this journey. God desires to lift your burdens. In Matthew 5:4, we find comfort in knowing that those who mourn shall be comforted. Hold onto that promise. Remember, Psalm 147:3 tells us, 'He healeth the broken in heart.' I encourage you to open your heart to God’s forgiveness. Let’s pray: 'Lord, bring comfort and healing to Sophie’s heart, and may she find peace in Your unwavering love. Amen.'
