Seeking Real Faith After a Season of Doubt
I grew up in a community where prosperity gospel was preached fervently. As a teenager, I accepted it wholeheartedly, believing that faith would lead to tangible rewards. But as I ventured into adulthood, I faced challenges that left me questioning everything I thought I knew about faith. Losing a loved one and going through a difficult breakup made me confront the harsh realities of life, where faith didn’t manifest in the way I expected. I feel lost, grappling with doubt and the fear that I may have been misled. I sincerely wish to reconnect with my faith and seek a deeper relationship with God that provides hope amidst my struggles. Please pray that I may rediscover what it means to truly believe and find solace in my faith.

Doubt can often lead us to a deeper understanding of faith, as seen in 2 Corinthians 5:7: 'For we walk by faith, not by sight.' This means our faith is based not on our experiences, but on His promises. In times of sorrow and questioning, remember that God is near; Psalm 34:18 reassures us, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' As you navigate this season of doubt, I encourage you to lean into prayer and Scripture. Philippians 1:6 reminds us, 'Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.' Let us pray for you to find clarity and peace as you seek a renewed relationship with Him.
