Seeking Reconnection with My Spiritual Purpose
I have been a seminary student for a while now, but I feel so disconnected from my spiritual purpose. While studying theology, I often feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information and questions that arise. Instead of feeling inspired, I feel more confused and distant from God. I’m asking for prayer to help me find clarity amidst the noise of academia. I long to remember why I started this journey in the first place and to reignite the passion for ministry that once burned bright within me.

Senior Pastor, Bethel Church
Sarah, thank you for expressing your feelings so openly. It’s common for students to experience a disconnect between their studies and their personal faith journey, but God sees your heart. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. Don’t be discouraged by the heaviness of academia; instead, try to view it as a tool for deeper understanding and a means to enrich your ministry. Remember also that prayer is a powerful tool; James 1:5 urges us to seek wisdom from God, who gives generously. I encourage you to set aside dedicated time with God, away from your studies, to listen and seek His direction for your life. Let’s pray that you find that magical spark again and that clarity comes to guide your steps in ministry.
