Seeking Strength as My Family Stays in a Religious Cult
Gracious God, I find myself in a difficult situation where I have chosen to leave a religious cult, but my family remains deeply entrenched. This separation is causing pain and helplessness within my heart. I pray for my loved ones to recognize the truth and to seek the freedom that I have found in You. I feel lonely and confused, and I need Your strength to continue on this path, even when my family does not understand. Help me to be a witness of Your love and grace despite the challenges. Give me the right words to speak when I'm with them and help me to remain steadfast in my faith. I trust that You have a plan for each of us, and I desire for my family to experience the love that comes from being in a true relationship with You. Amen.

Dear Michael, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It's incredible that you have found the courage to break away from a cult, and God is surely with you. Remember the promise of 1 Corinthians 13:4 that love never fails, even when facing misunderstanding and rejection. Your steadfastness in faith can be a powerful testimony to your family. In Joel 2:25, God assures us that He will restore what has been lost. Hold onto that promise as you pray for your family’s eyes to be opened. Psalm 119:165 states, "Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." Allow God's Word to bring you peace as you navigate this tumultuous time.
