Seeking Strength in a Secular Workplace
As a 35-year-old project manager in a corporate office, I often find myself surrounded by colleagues who openly criticize Christianity. It’s challenging to navigate conversations about faith without feeling defensive or discouraged. I've tried to engage in discussions about my beliefs, but most of the time, I either hold back or feel misunderstood. I desire to be a witness for Christ, but I need prayer for wisdom and perseverance. I want to be able to express my faith in a way that resonates with others, and not just be dismissed or ridiculed. Please pray for my ability to stand firm in my faith and for opportunities to share the good news in a way that is loving and respectful.

Dear Marcus, it’s commendable that you desire to witness for Christ in such a challenging environment. Remember, we are called to be 'salt and light' as stated in Matthew 5:13-14. Your influence can be significant even if it feels daunting. Take courage! In Ephesians 2:9, we are reminded that we are not saved by works, but by grace. This means that your witness is not about perfection but about authenticity and sincere dialogue. John 10:10 tells us that Christ came to give us abundant life, and this fullness can shine through you, even in a secular setting. Look for those moments where you can share the hope you’ve found in Christ, even if it's just sharing how prayer helps you find peace at work. I’ll be praying that the Holy Spirit gives you the courage to share your faith boldly and lovingly, and that He opens the hearts of your colleagues when you do.
