Seeking to Share Christ on a Challenging Deployment
As a soldier away from home, I’ve been reflecting on my purpose and how I can make an impact during this time. Many of my peers are struggling with their faith and feeling disconnected from God. I want to guide them towards Jesus, who I know can offer them the hope and salvation they desperately need. I find myself in constant prayer, asking for guidance on how to initiate spiritual conversations. Please pray for my fellow soldiers to be receptive to the Gospel and for my own heart to be open to the Holy Spirit’s leading as I navigate this sensitive environment.

Missions Pastor, First Baptist Church
Dear Daniel, it is commendable that you desire to be a light in a dark place, and God has positioned you there for a reason. In Acts 4:12, we are reminded, 'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.' As you approach your fellow soldiers, remember that their need for salvation is met only through Christ. Your willingness to listen and empathize with their struggles can open the door to meaningful discussions about faith. Trust that the Holy Spirit will guide your words, as stated in John 14:26, where Jesus promises, 'But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance.' I will pray for you to have the boldness to speak up, and for God to move in the hearts of those around you. May your actions and words reflect His love.
