Seeking Unity in a Fragmented Church Experience
I have grown increasingly disheartened by the division I see within the Church. Different denominations often seem more focused on their differences than on the common faith we share in Christ. My heart aches for unity among believers, yet I feel powerless to effect change. I’m praying for a spirit of reconciliation to sweep through our communities and for God to grant us the strength to love one another despite our differences. I want to see the Church reflect Christ in its entirety.

Dear Sofia, your heart for unity is an echo of Christ’s own desire for His followers. In John 17:21, Jesus prayed that 'they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.' Your longing for a united Church is a beautiful expression of love. While divisions can be painful, remember that God calls us to be peacemakers. Matthew 5:9 states, 'Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.' Actively seek opportunities for dialogue and collaboration among different denominations in your community. Each of us has a role in fostering that spirit of unity. I will pray that God empowers you with wisdom and strength to be a catalyst for reconciliation, and that He opens doors for healing among believers.
