Seeking Wisdom for Teen's First Job Experience
Heavenly Father, I come to You with a heavy heart as my son, Jordan, begins his first job at 18. He seems lost and unsure about how to handle the responsibilities and expectations placed upon him. Please grant him wisdom and discernment to understand what is required of him. Help him build relationships with his coworkers so he can feel supported and encouraged. I pray that he learns the importance of hard work and commitment, without feeling overwhelmed. Show him how to balance his job with school and social life, teaching him valuable lessons for his future. I trust that You are guiding him through this experience, and I thank You for Your constant presence. Amen.

Dear David, thank you for sharing Jordan's situation with me. It's understandable that he is feeling uncertain as he takes this big step into the working world. I encourage you to remind him of the importance of his work ethic, as highlighted in Colossians 3:23: 'And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.' Encourage him to approach each task with a positive attitude, knowing that God is with him every step of the way. As Jordan navigates this new role, remind him that God is the one who gives us the power to succeed as in Deuteronomy 8:18: 'But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.' I will pray for Jordan’s growth and that he finds joy in serving and learning through his job. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, guide Jordan in his new role, granting him wisdom and clarity as he faces this challenge. Amen.
