Strength in the Midst of Financial Strain
Dear Pastor Elizabeth, I am a single mother working in ministry, and I find myself struggling to make ends meet. My paycheck barely covers the essentials, and I often have to choose between paying bills and buying groceries. My children are aware of our financial difficulties, and I worry about the impact it has on their well-being. I feel overwhelmed and underappreciated in my role, and it seems like each day brings new challenges. I am praying for relief from this burden and guidance on how to manage our situation. Dear Samantha, I want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. God sees your hard work and your sacrifice, and He promises to take care of you. In Matthew 6:33, we are reminded to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. While it may feel that the burdens are heavy now, remember that God has not forgotten you. He is your provider, as stated in Deuteronomy 8:18, which teaches us that it is He who gives us the power to get wealth. I encourage you to trust Him in this season, and keep doing your work as if you are serving the Lord, as Paul reminds us in Colossians 3:23. I will be praying for your financial situation to improve and for peace in your heart as you continue this journey. May God bless you abundantly.
