Strength to Support My Aging Mother
I'm a single mother and recently my own mother has become ill and requires more care than I can provide on my own. I'm feeling overwhelmed, as my responsibilities to my children do not allow me the time or energy needed to care for her adequately. I pray for strength and perseverance, as well as the ability to find the right help for her. My siblings seem to be avoiding the situation, and I feel alone in this struggle. I ask for prayers that I can find support and that my family can come together to rally around my mother during this time.

Lisa, I can only imagine the weight you are carrying right now. It’s commendable that you are dedicated to both your children and your mother. Psalm 127:3 reminds us that children are a heritage from the Lord, and it’s important to care for them while also honoring your mother. In Matthew 19:6, Jesus speaks to the importance of family relationships, and I encourage you to lean on that bond during this difficult time. In moments of struggle, Isaiah 40:31 offers us the promise that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. May the Lord provide you with the assistance you need and help your family come together in support. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, grant Lisa renewed strength and wisdom as she navigates this challenging path. Unite her family in love for her mother. Amen.
