Stress and Grief Taking a Toll on My Health
I’m a 45-year-old mother of three, and I feel overwhelmed by the accumulated grief I’ve been carrying. Since losing my sister unexpectedly last year, I’ve noticed physical symptoms like headaches and fatigue that the doctor says are stress-related. I’m constantly juggling my family’s needs while trying to process my own sorrow. Each day feels like a battle, and the stress is taking a serious toll on my health. I often find myself in tears, feeling like I can’t breathe from the weight of it all. I ask for prayer to help me find peace and healing in this difficult time, to manage my stress effectively, and to learn how to grieve without letting it consume me.

Dear Megan, I want you to know that you are not alone in this journey of grief. Our Lord sees your pain, and He offers comfort in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, reminding us that He is the source of all comfort. Your feelings of overwhelming stress and grief are valid, and it's important to acknowledge them. Remember, as it says in Philippians 4:6-7, do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, present your requests to God; He will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Take time each day to breathe deeply and lay your worries before Him. I encourage you to lean on your family and friends for support, as we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Allow yourself the grace to grieve and heal. I will be praying for your heart and health, asking the Lord to provide you with peace and healing amidst your struggles. May you feel His presence in your times of sorrow.
