Struggling to Adapt to a Changing Work Environment
I've been working in the same industry for nearly three decades, but I've recently watched as technology has taken over tasks I used to handle. At 52, I find myself scrambling to learn new skills, but the learning curve feels steep and intimidating. I often feel like I’m too old to start over, and it's hard to stay motivated when I compare myself to younger colleagues. I'm reaching out for prayer support as I seek the strength to adapt and the confidence to believe in my ability to learn again. Please pray that God will guide my steps during this challenging time.

Dear Linda, thank you for your heartfelt request. It’s natural to feel overwhelmed, especially when faced with significant change. However, your willingness to adapt is a testament to your strength and resilience. It’s vital to remind ourselves that age should not define our capabilities. In fact, Psalm 37:4 encourages us, 'Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.' As you work to embrace new skills, remember that God equips us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17). Allow yourself grace during this learning process. Reflect on Deuteronomy 8:18, which reminds us that it is the Lord who gives us the ability to produce wealth. Trust that He is with you in this season of growth. Let us pray that God grants you peace, clarity, and the motivation to pursue this journey with confidence.
