Struggling to Find My Place in Church
I’m a 22-year-old college student who has recently started attending a new church. I love the community, but I feel like I don’t know where I fit in. I see others getting involved and using their gifts, but I’m unsure what my gifts are or how I can contribute. This uncertainty has left me feeling disconnected and anxious. I pray that God helps me discover my spiritual gifts and shows me how I can serve Him and others in this church family. I want to be an active part of the body of Christ and support others in their faith journeys. Please pray for my journey of discovery and that I can feel a sense of belonging.

Dear Emily, thank you for sharing your heart with us. Finding your place within a new church can be challenging, but I encourage you to embrace this journey of discovery. Remember, God has given each of us gifts for the common good, as stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7. It’s wonderful that you desire to serve and be part of the body of Christ. Take the time to pray and seek God’s guidance; He will reveal your gifts as you spend time in His presence. James 1:5 reassures us that if we ask for wisdom, God will provide it generously. Be open to trying different ministries or groups, as you may discover where you fit in along the way. I pray that you find peace and confidence in your journey and that God leads you to opportunities to serve and connect within your church community.
