Struggling to Make Ends Meet with Disability
My name is Laura, and I am a 38-year-old mother of two. Due to a chronic illness, I have been unable to work full-time for several years. The little income I receive from disability just barely covers our basic needs, and I often find myself in tears, worrying about our future. I feel trapped by my limitations and guilty that I can’t provide more for my children. I try to stay positive, but the weight of financial stress is overwhelming, especially during the holidays when I want to give my kids a special experience. I ask for prayers that I may find peace in my situation and that God will provide for us in ways I cannot see right now.

Dear Laura, I want you to know that God sees your struggles and your heart. You are not alone in this. Remember, God provides for His children. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, 'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.' While it may feel like you're in a tight spot, Ecclesiastes 9:11 tells us that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. Your current situation does not diminish your worth or the plans God has for you. In these trying times, lean on Him and trust that He has a purpose for your life, even amid challenges. As you seek peace, may you also find opportunities to bless others with what you can. Remember Matthew 25:21, where the faithful servant is rewarded, not just for his productivity but for his faithfulness. I will pray for you to find encouragement and provision, both spiritually and materially. May the Lord guide you and grant you His peace.
