Struggling to Share My New Faith with Skeptical Relatives
I'm Michael, a 42-year-old African American man, and I've recently accepted Christ while in prison. Life here is challenging, but my faith gives me hope. The issue is my family; they are very skeptical about my transformation and often tell me that I’m just trying to escape reality. I’ve shared my experience, but they dismiss it. I feel isolated, as if I’m living in two worlds. I pray every day for their hearts to change, for them to see the real changes in me. Please pray for my family to believe in my faith and for strength as I walk this path.

Dear Michael, I commend you for your boldness in accepting Christ and seeking to share that with your family. It's tough when those closest to us are skeptical, but your journey can illuminate the path for them. Ephesians 2:8 reminds us that salvation is a gift of grace, and your transformation is a testament to this grace at work in your life. Do not grow weary in sharing your faith, as Acts 4:12 states, 'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.' Your persistence in prayer is powerful and will bear fruit in due time. Keep living out your faith authentically; your changed life is a strong witness. I encourage you to pray fervently for their hearts to be softened, and trust that God is at work behind the scenes. Let’s pray: Father, I ask that You embolden Michael and open the hearts of his family to see the truth of his changed life through You. Amen.
