Struggling to Trust in God's Grace
My name is Emily, and I’ve been battling a crippling fear of hell for as long as I can remember. Despite my attempts to connect with God through prayer and Scripture, I constantly feel overwhelmed by the thought of eternal separation from Him. I find it hard to rest in His grace, and it feels like I’m drowning in anxiety. Every time I think I’ve made progress, those fears come rushing back, and I can't seem to shake them. I long to feel the peace that surpasses all understanding, yet the fear grips my heart tightly. Please pray that I can learn to trust in God's promises and truly embrace His grace.

Dear Emily, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s not uncommon to struggle with fear, especially regarding eternal matters. Remember, Jesus said, 'Let not your heart be troubled' (John 14:27), and that applies to your fears about hell. You are not alone in this; even the disciples faced moments of doubt and fear. God assures us that 'He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ' (Philippians 1:6). Trusting in His grace is a journey of faith, and faith is defined as 'the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen' (Hebrews 11:1). I encourage you to fill your heart and mind with Scripture that speaks of God’s love and grace. May you find rest in His unchanging promises. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, I lift Emily to You. Surround her with Your peace and help her to rest in Your grace. Amen.
