Struggling with Childhood Fears in Adult Life
As a child, I was always afraid of being abandoned, especially during the tough times when my family struggled. Those fears have followed me into adulthood. I find myself constantly doubting my worthiness of love and support from friends and family. I often feel anxious that people will leave me when things get tough or if I’m not perfect. I want to break free from this cycle of fear and embrace the truth that I am worthy of love and belonging. Please pray with me for healing from my past and for the courage to trust others with my heart.

Dear Marcus, thank you for your heartfelt request. It is understandable how childhood experiences can leave deep imprints on our adult lives. However, I want to remind you that God sees your worth. In Romans 8:15, we are told that we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, 'Abba, Father.' You belong to Him! His love for you is steadfast, and He promises to be with you through every challenge. As you face your fears, remember Lamentations 3:22-23, which assures us that 'it is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning.' May God help you find peace in His presence and comfort in knowing that you are never alone. Let's pray for the courage to trust in His unfailing love.
