I Am Losing My Faith — Struggling with Doubt
I grew up in the church and believed all my life. But over the past two years I have been questioning everything. The suffering I see in the world, prayers that seem to go unanswered, and my own personal failures have left me wondering if God is real or if He cares. I don't want to walk away from my faith, but I feel like I am on the edge. Please pray for God to reveal Himself to me again.

Thomas, the fact that you are still reaching out, still praying, still asking — that is faith. A faith that cannot be tested cannot be trusted.
Doubt is not the opposite of faith. Fear is. And Jesus spoke more to fearful disciples than to doubting ones. Remember Thomas in John 20 — Jesus did not rebuke him for doubting. He came to him and said, "Put your finger here." Jesus meets us in our doubts.
The suffering you see in the world troubled Jeremiah, Job, Habakkuk, and every honest believer throughout history. Habakkuk literally argued with God: "How long, Lord, must I call for help?" (Habakkuk 1:2). God did not strike him down. He answered him.
Hebrews 11:1 says faith is "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." It is not certainty — it is trust in the character of God even when we cannot see the outcome.
My prayer: Lord, meet Thomas where he is today. Be more real to him than his doubts. Let him sense Your presence in a way that bypasses his intellect and reaches his spirit. You have not abandoned him. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Thomas, keep talking to God. Even anger toward Him is a form of relationship.
