Struggling with Doubts in My Faith Journey
Hello, my name is Maria, and I’m currently a second-year seminary student. I have always felt called to ministry, but lately, I have been grappling with doubts about my faith. Questions flood my mind: Am I truly equipped to lead others? Am I genuinely faithful? I find my heart heavy, and my enthusiasm for preaching has waned. I feel as if I am drifting away from my purpose. I long for the conviction and passion I used to have, but it seems out of reach. Please pray for me as I seek to revive my faith and clarity in my calling. I desire to reconnect with God’s purpose for my life.

Dear Maria, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s completely normal to encounter doubts along your faith journey, and it’s crucial to acknowledge them. Remember, even when we feel lost, God’s purpose remains steadfast (Proverbs 3:6). I encourage you to lean into your doubts, as they can lead you to a deeper understanding of your faith. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Embrace this season as an opportunity for growth and increased faith. Trust in God’s plan for your life, and remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14). Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I ask that You nurture Maria’s faith and guide her back to the passion and purpose You have for her. Amen.
