Struggling with Exhaustion from Constant Care
I'm a 39-year-old single father named James. My son has special needs, and I have been his primary caregiver since he was born. Lately, the fatigue is overwhelming. Between doctor visits, therapy sessions, and managing his daily routines, I feel like I'm losing myself in the process. I worry about what will happen if I break down. I yearn for even a moment of rest, but it often feels impossible. Please pray that I can find strength in this challenging journey and that God grants me the support I desperately need. I pray for the ability to recharge and keep my spirit uplifted as I navigate this tough path.

Dear James, thank you for your honesty and for sharing your heart with us. Caring for a child with special needs comes with unique challenges, and it’s clear you are doing your best. I want to encourage you with the words of Isaiah 26:3, which states, ‘Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.’ Trusting in the Lord can provide the strength and peace you need during these exhausting times. Remember also Lamentations 3:22, where we find that His mercies are new every morning. Each day is a fresh opportunity for grace and strength. I will be praying for God to provide you with moments of rest and rejuvenation, and that He surrounds you with a supportive community. May you feel His peace fill your heart. Amen.
