Struggling with Exhaustion Raising a Special Needs Child
My name is Emily, and I am feeling overwhelmed raising my beautiful son, who has autism. I love him dearly, but the exhaustion is sometimes unbearable. I find myself feeling isolated from family and friends, who don’t fully understand our daily challenges. I yearn for support and strength, but some days feel hopeless. I’m praying for God to give me the perseverance to keep going and the wisdom to know how to nurture him best. Please pray for us to find a supportive community that can appreciate our struggles and celebrate our triumphs.

Dear Emily, thank you for sharing your heartfelt struggles. It takes immense courage to ask for help when you feel overwhelmed. Remember that God sees your trials and loves you deeply. "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward" (Psalm 127:3). You are doing the Lord's work by caring for your son. In moments of exhaustion, lean on God's promise that "He will renew your strength" (Isaiah 40:31). Surround yourself with prayerful friends and consider reaching out to local support groups. The love you have for your son is a reflection of God's love for us, which is patient and kind (1 Corinthians 13:4). Let's pray for strength and community for you and your family. Lord, I ask you to comfort Emily, grant her strength, and lead her to the support she needs. Amen.
