Struggling with Family Discontent Over Inheritance
I’m Rachel, and I feel lost after the passing of my mother. She left behind a small inheritance, but instead of drawing us closer, it has driven my siblings and me apart. We have different ideas about how to divide her belongings, and our disagreements have become arguments filled with hurtful words. I never imagined that money could cause so much strife between us. I miss my mother and the love that we all shared as a family. I’m praying for peace and clarity, for God to guide us in this difficult time and restore our relationships. Please pray for us to remember what truly matters over material possessions.

Dear Rachel, I empathize with the pain you are feeling regarding your family’s struggles during this difficult time. It is so common for material matters to overshadow the love that should unite us, especially after a loss. I want to remind you of 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, where love is described as being patient and kind, and it does not behave itself unseemly or seek its own. Hold onto this truth as you navigate these turbulent waters. Furthermore, as you approach your siblings, consider the wisdom found in Proverbs 15:1: 'A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.' How you respond can create an atmosphere of healing. Remember Matthew 6:21, which tells us that where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. May your heart be drawn to what truly matters: love, forgiveness, and family unity. I pray for healing, understanding, and a spirit of cooperation among you all as you navigate this inheritance. Amen.
