Struggling with Fear of Losing My Children
As a single mother, I work hard to provide for my children, but after losing my best friend unexpectedly, I can’t shake the fear of losing my own kids. Every time they leave the house, my heart races, and I feel like I’m waiting for something terrible to happen. This anxiety is affecting my ability to parent effectively, and I desperately want to break free from this cycle of fear. Please pray that I can trust in God’s protection and find peace in my heart.

Missions Pastor, First Baptist Church
Dear Jessica, I empathize with the fear you’re experiencing as a single mother, especially after such a significant loss. It’s natural to feel heightened anxiety in these moments. I encourage you to remember that God is a protector over your family. Psalm 91:1 tells us that 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.' This means that you and your children can find safety in His presence. Additionally, Isaiah 26:3 encourages us; it states that 'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.' Trust in God’s love and protection over your life and your children’s lives. Let’s pray for peace in your heart: Lord, grant Jessica the trust she needs to let go of her fears and embrace Your protection. Amen.
