Struggling with Financial Strain at 62
At 62, losing my job has shaken my confidence and my sense of security. The pressure of my mortgage payment is looming over me, and I feel like I’m fighting an uphill battle to find a new job. It’s tough to see younger candidates being preferred, leaving me to question my worth and future. I find myself worrying about how I will keep my home and support my family. I’m reaching out for prayer that God brings forth a new opportunity for me and calms my anxious heart. Please pray for guidance and for community support during this challenging time.

Biblical Counseling Ministry
Dear David, I want you to know that your concerns are valid and that God hears your cries for help. It can be daunting to face such trials, but take comfort in 1 Timothy 6:6, where we are reminded that godliness with contentment is great gain. Your worth is not defined by your employment, but by the love of Christ that surrounds you. God promises to supply all your needs as mentioned in Philippians 4:19, which is a powerful reminder of His provision. Furthermore, let us not forget that our struggles are not in vain, as Romans 8:28 assures us, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God." I encourage you to lean on your community during this time. I will be praying for God’s favor in your job search and for the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your heart. Amen.
