Struggling with the Burden of Seminary Expectations
As a seminary student, I often feel overwhelmed by expectations—both my own and those I perceive from others. I want to be a beacon of hope and guidance for others, but I struggle with self-doubt. There are days when I wonder if I’m on the right path or if I'm genuinely called to ministry. This uncertainty weighs heavily on my heart, and I’m asking for prayer to help me navigate these feelings. I desperately want to regain my confidence and trust that I am equipped for the calling God has placed on my life.

Dear Aisha, thank you for sharing your heart with me. It's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed by expectations in seminary. God knows the desires and dreams He has woven into your heart. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. In Isaiah 41:10, the Lord says, 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.' Lean into His promises during these tough times. I encourage you to bring your concerns to the Lord in prayer. As you take steps forward, hold onto Hebrews 11:1, and trust that faith will guide you through uncertainty. Finally, remember that your worth is not defined by performance but by God’s love for you. Let’s pray for clarity, strength, and renewed confidence in your calling.
