Tears for My Wife's Heart of Stone
My wife has been resistant to the Gospel since we got married. I thought time would soften her heart, but instead, she has grown more distant. We have two children, and I worry about the spiritual legacy we will leave them. When I try to talk about faith, she shuts down, and I feel helpless. I want our household to be filled with God's love and wisdom, but her disbelief feels like a wall between us. I pray daily for her heart to be changed, for her to know the peace I have found in Christ. Please pray that God would break down the barriers in her heart and draw her to Him.
Pastor's Response

Dear James, I deeply empathize with the burden you carry for your wife's spiritual journey. It’s evident that you love her deeply, and your prayers reflect that love. Remember, God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). The heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord (Proverbs 21:1)—trust that He can change hearts, even when we feel powerless. Continue to be a source of love and grace in your home. Your faithful example may be just what she needs to see the light of Christ. Let’s pray: Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in James’s wife’s heart. Break down the walls of disbelief and replace them with faith. Amen.
