God Healed My Depression — A Testimony and Praise
Three years ago I submitted a prayer on a site like this, completely broken by severe depression. I could not get out of bed for months. Today I want to come back and give praise to God. After long prayer, counseling, and the support of my church community, I am free. Not perfect, but free. For anyone reading this who is in the dark place I was in — do not give up. God is faithful.

Jennifer, THANK YOU for coming back to share this. You have no idea how many people reading your testimony right now are in the darkness you once sat in, and your words are a lifeline.
Psalm 40:1-3 captures your story perfectly: "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him."
Many will see and put their trust in Him — because of your testimony. That is happening right now.
Joel 2:25 — "I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten." Three years ago, the locusts were eating. Today, you are standing in restored harvest.
Our prayer: Heavenly Father, we stand with Jennifer in a moment of pure thanksgiving. You are Jehovah Rapha — the God who heals. What was broken is made whole. We praise You not just for what You did, but for who You are. Faithful. Present. Good. In Jesus' name. Amen.
