Thankful for God’s Protection and the Comfort of Community
Dear friends, I am grateful for the protection my family received during the tornado that recently devastated our neighborhood. We heard the sound of destruction, but by God’s grace, our home stood firm. I feel a mix of gratitude and sadness, however, as I witness the destruction of our neighbors' homes. It is a difficult time for all of us, and I want to support them in every way I can. I ask for prayers that we will find opportunities to help those in need and that our community will come together in unity and strength.

Dear Linda, thank you for reaching out and sharing your heartfelt prayer request. It’s truly a blessing to hear that your family was protected during such a frightening event. God’s faithfulness is evident, and your acknowledgment of His hand in your safety reflects a heart of gratitude (Psalm 100:4). The sorrow you feel for your neighbors is a testament to your compassionate spirit; we are called to mourn with those who mourn (Romans 12:15). As you seek ways to support those affected, remember that every act of kindness is a reflection of Christ’s love. Trust in the Lord to guide you as you step out to help, and let His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), fill your heart. I pray for strength and unity within your community as you all navigate this challenging time together.
