Hi, I’m Ethan, a 26-year-old chemist who loves discovery. However, my journey has taken a toll on my faith. As I dive into the molecular world, I often feel as though I am losing touch with God. I wrestle with doubts about miracles and the supernatural, especially as I see everything through a scientific lens. I wish to rekindle my faith and find a way to integrate it into my career without feeling like I’m compromising my intellect. Dear Ethan, thank you for sharing your heart. It’s not easy to navigate a career in science while holding onto your faith, but remember, God is not a stranger to the world of science. He created it! As you explore the complexities of His creation, hold onto the truth found in 2 Corinthians 5:7, 'For we walk by faith, not by sight.' Science provides us with evidence, but faith invites us to trust in the unseen. Romans 10:17 tells us that 'faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God,' so continue to immerse yourself in Scripture and prayer. God can bring clarity and understanding to your doubts. Let’s pray: Lord, I lift up Ethan to You. Help him to find the balance between his scientific pursuits and his faith, reassuring him that both can exist harmoniously. Amen.
